System Definition: Web based Content management system (CMS), which can add/edit pages and content through admin panel.

Problem:

• Need to change / add pages and contents without the html/web development knowledge.
• Web site need to be Search engine optimized (SEO).
• New items adding to the ecommerce section. Admin could able to add shopping Items.
• The Don Quixote Society Members need to be able get paid membership and access to members only blog.

Solution:

• Transferred the site to a open source CMS web application - Wordpress.
• Added Wordpress compatible SEO plugin.
• Added wp-ecommerce and podpress plugins for e-commerce and podcasting.
• Integrated wordpress user registration with custom member registration and pass the user info to a 3 rd party email blast application.
• Added restriction for the blog, Members only.

Outcome/ Benefits:

• Admin can Mange the content and products through the admin panel.
• Administer members only website.
• View custom reports on online transactions and blog members.
