The iPhone Goes Corporate: iPhone Apps for Business
 Expect to see a lot more of the iPhone not just in social circles, but in the corporate world too as developers scramble to take advantage of this mobile platform to create powerful applications built for business. DSS is currently using this cutting-edge technology to build powerful business tools for several clients. Here is just a sampling of what DSS and mobile technology strategist, Mohammad Hussain Anwar, have already been able to create with this new, innovative technology.

Extended Use of Current CRM Software
The initial project involved developing an application that enables an iPhone user to login to a Microsoft Dynamics CRM server and then access and display data in an intelligible format. This application is currently meant for in-house enterprise distribution only, however, future versions could also be made available at the App Store.
- A More Efficient Productivity Tool
The project task was to rebuild and upgrade this productivity tool using the latest iPhone technology. The utility allows the user to send/forward multiple address book contacts to one or more individuals via email. Feature improvements include increased speed and efficiency, plus the ability to “introduce” two persons by simultaneously sending each the other’s contact information.
- Integration with Popular Job Portal
A popular job portal wanted to take advantage of the latest mobile technology by letting employers and job seekers access employment information on the iPhone platform. The application is extremely user-friendly, utilizing a standard touch interface for searches and displayed results. The communication with the server was executed via Web-services/XML.
These solutions signify merely the beginning of a movement that will inevitably advance mobile applications for business. GraphicSolutions Inc.
 Printing company, GraphicSolutions Inc., came to Digital Sabre in need of an automated IT solution to replace their current manual process of approving all design work. DSS is currently working on a powerful CRM software application that will take advantage of the many benefits provided by the Internet. Upon completion of this project, GraphicSolutions will be able to perform the entire approval process online, effectively eliminating the need for multiple mock-ups that currently rely on time-consuming faxes and FedEx authorization. The end result will improve the ability for the company to respond to its customers’ needs while leading to a significant increase in sales. |

 Digital Sabre recently completed a project for Front Row Solutions that effectively synchronizes the company’s current proprietary software with Microsoft Outlook. Speed was essential; development time took a matter of days. The company was able to fully utilize the application in less than one month.
